My iPhone 6 is disabled as I have forgotten my passcode. I have not synced it with any other device/icloud, etc. When I connected it my MacBook and opened iTunes, that is also asking for passcode. Pl help.

i have same problem. In response to icloud update i received yesterday in which i was requested to scan finger i am now locked out of my phone because i didn't know the four letter numeric code to restart the device. Techs told me now that all my info is lost because there is no way to restart the phone without erasing everything. This is very disconcerting. I didn't know there was any password that couldn't be changed if you proved your identity. Is this policy followed by all cell phone companies or just Apple?

You cannot set up Touch ID without a password, so you need to try to remember the password you used when you set up Touch ID.

Do you not have a backup of your device in iCloud or iTunes? iCloud backups can be set up to occur automatically. Is it possible that you have backed up your device to iCloud?

If so, then you can erase it and restore it from the backup.
