can you please help me to decide, if I buy the Ipad Air 32gb or the Ipad Air 2 16gb? It's all a matter of money ;-D
I'm going to play some games from time to time (Deinstalling a game is no problem for me, if necessary).
Pictures or videos will also be on the ipad, but not that much.
The iPad will mainly be used in university and on train/plane/bus (= playing games).
So, what's the best decision?

Better to invest that extra money now. Photo and video content and apps can take up storage space fast espcially with only 16GB's.
Keep in mind, every iOS update requires a certain amount of storage space. The more free storage there is on your iPad, the faster it may run since you want to use games.

Is there a huge difference between the performance (when playing games!) of Ipad-Air-1 and Ipad-Air-2 ?
As you note, the iPad Air 32 GB and the iPad Air 2 16 Gb are the same price. Having had a 16 Gb for 2 years, I'd never have that little storage again--just too much juggling and uninstalling. For another $100 you could get 64GB in the iPad Air 2.
The iPad Air is a fine piece of equipment so if you really can't afford another $100, go with the iPad Air 32GB. It'll serve you well and still have a resale value if you decide to upgrade.
But the iPad Air 2 is up to 68% faster according to benchmark tests.
And there is now a $20 educational discount On all models.

in iOS devices you have the memory you got and thats it
a game use an amount of memory it was created to use so if
angry birds use 128MB of memory to run then it will run the same speed even you have 1GB memory

Is it likely that games will be released that need more than the 1GB Ram of iPad Air 1 or the faster processor of the iPad Air 2??
If not, then I think the Ipad-Air-32GB is the right choice for me :-)
