After connecting to Apple TV via airplay mirroring, whenever I disconnect it still shows that I'm connected. This causes me to be unable to connect to the Apple TV a second time. I can restart my mac and the setting gets reset, but is there an easier way to solve this issue?

Ok! I think I fixed it! I had to go into the sound settings and take the output off airplay and then it started to work! Hope that helps...

Im having the exact same problem, Im also on a macbook air mid 2011. Its is very annoying!

This is ridiculous, I would expect this type of thing from Microcrap but Apple - unacceptable.
So now we have to alter the sound preferences every time we use airplay? Something just isn't right with this.

WWhy can't you click AirPlay icon on the laptop and switch of AirPlay to ATV ?
