Q: iPad Mini Stuck on Apple Symbol Load Screen After iOS 8.1 Install

Hi,

I downloaded and installed iOS 8.1 on my iPad Mini 1, but when the iPad reset to complete the installation it has become stuck on the Apple symbol black load screen. I was upgrading from iOS 7.1.2. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this? Holding the power and home button resets the iPad but it still cannot load up.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

Take a look at the article linked below, it explains why you might be seeing the Apple logo with the progress bar below it on your iPad mini.

If the issue persists, you can also try restoring the iPad mini as suggested in the article linked below.
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
