I do believe you have some kind of misconception here. In ALL THE HISTORY of these computer devices, and going back over 30 years, there has NEVER ONCE been a bug-free product. It has never existed in the history of this industry. SO ... right off the bat ... you're going against the FACTS if you think that a bug-free product is possible.
Start with REALITY and know that there will always be bugs, then figure out your strategy to deal with that reality.

Let the other people, who are usually "early adopters" deal with it first ... then ... and simply sit back and wait ... :-) ...

Nov 15, 2014 10:41 AM in response to Whichypoohsby Suzanne Dumont, wow, Star Traveler, are you or someone you know, heavily invested in Apple and is that why you defend them so fiercely? I wait for the first revision on a new program but when that doesn't fix things... it's annoying. I don't expect perfection, but with the numerous folks complaining about OS8... there's something wrong with how they vetted this so called "update".

No ... no Apple stocks, not working for them, and not related to anyone who does and not working for a company who is related to Apple in any way. I am a user of Apple products. The answers given here are related to the purpose of the forum, which is to give "solutions" for any problems ... but when someone veers off-topic for the "Terms of Use" for this forum, I then answer "in kind".

I've kept up on the tech news and for Apple specifically and especially with iOS 8 ... and I see nothing out there in the news that indicates some kind of widespread problem.
What you have here in these forums are the very few (out of the overall user base) who have some kind of problem. There are solutions which have have worked and then I'm sure other fixes are coming. But ... you're inside a "tech support hospital" ... when you read here, and there are "sick machines" in a "tech support hospital" ... that's what you are seeing.
