My mac is trying to restart but can't because a program refuses to quit (force quit). All other applications can't currently be reopened since the mac is trying to restart. How do I fix this?
My MacBook Pro is trying to restart but can't because an application refuses to quit (force quit). Presently, no applications can be opened since the mac is currently trying to restart (Programs like Google Chrome, Apps store, etc...). Thus, I can't quit the the application through the Activity Monitor. The problem transpired when I had opened a program that wasn't responding and then tried to quit it. Not long after that I tried to install updates from the App store which brought about the restart procedure (I believe this is what brought about the restart procedure). All open programs were closed except for the one that wasn't responding. Now, the mac is apparently still trying to restart but can't since the program that wasn't responding can't be quit (I've already tried force quitting it in the "Force Quit Applications" window). How do I fix this?
