Oct 25, 2014 4:07 PM in response to petermac87by Urethanes,I haven't tried anything this far, except upgrade to iOS 8.1, which resolved only one problem I was facing in Facebook App. Rest of the issues still remain.

Oct 25, 2014 4:15 PM in response to Myles383by TJBUSMC1973,Give your feedback to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback.
Or, take all the proper troubleshooting steps, including this one: iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a ...
Don't skip any steps. Do exactly what it says. Don't sign in with an Apple ID. Don't restore a backup. Don't download any apps. Set it up so that ONLY the native iOS apps are on the device. Also, reinstall the iOS via iTunes. Restore the phone as new properly, then test it. Then report your results.
A faulty iOS install can cause the issue you described. A proper iOS install cannot cause the problem.
If it continues to restart on its own after setup as new properly, then it's a hardware failure.
iOS updates cannot cause hardware failures.

Oct 25, 2014 4:47 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by Myles383,so you're dismissing the possibility of faulty iOS software?

Oct 25, 2014 5:02 PM in response to roaminggnomeby Myles383,yeah i restored the phone as new. No contacts, no apps, no backups. Still the same issue with the phone turning off and on continuously. Never had this problem until the minute I instilled iOS 8.0.2 then it started. I heard talk of an issue with iOS 8.0.2 and that Apple were soon to release an update to rectify the problem. Said update iOS 8.1 did nothing but make the crashes more frequent and when the phone did stay on for 5 minutes it was so slow it was almost unusable.

There are over a half billion (that's 500,000,000,000) iPhones. If iOS was faulty there would be millions of posts about it, not the dozens or even hundreds we have seen. While there are a few people who have had a problem after updating, if you read the descriptions of their issues they are mostly different from each other, which pretty much says the problem is with their individual phone, not with iOS itself. And if you bother to read the threads from people who have posted that they have an issue, the vast majority have fixed it with simple troubleshooting steps.

Oct 25, 2014 10:12 PM in response to Lawrence Finchby Myles383,Very helpful..... If you bothered to read my previous threads you might see that I have tried (for the better part) everything that has been mentioned with no luck still. I was merely trying to rule out what may or may not be the cause of my problem. Thank you very much for your help in this matter.
