Viewing steps in Health app from past days/weeks, etc.

I'm really enjoying keeping track of how many steps I take every day, but I can't figure out how to see the step count from days past. When I click on the graph I get a list of minute-by-minute data inputs. How can I just see the total step count from yesterday, three days ago, my highest/lowest day, etc.?

Hello. I also had this question. I searched within the Health App and could not find out how to do this. I searched now, after downloading 9.0, that If I follow these steps I can see historical data.

I hope this helps! 🙂

1.Open Health App

2. Press health Data Tab

3. Fitness

4. Steps

5. Show all Data

Hi David,

I also find the Apple Health app frustrating. I can only see the acurate data for the day. If I go to the Week, Month or Day view I can see the graph representing my previous days, but not the actually data. For example, Aug 21 is shown on my Week view as a datapoint, but I can't get the exact number of steps.

I do have MyFitnessPal, and going into my diary for the day I'm curious about I can see how many steps I took. But as the iPhone (5s) is pushing the steps data to MyFitnessPal (which is often slow to load and a bit cumbersome) is seems bizarre that I can't get the info from the Apple Health app.

I hope Apple changes this in future releases. For now, I need to use a 3rd party app to view the iPhone data in a format that is meaningful to me. Maybe Human will let you see the data in a way that is relevant to you.

Good luck!

As I previously stated, they don't only record for one day.

The Health app records data all the time. It is not a one time action.

Day Week Month shows what was recorded over the last day/week/month.

If it displays No Data, then you do not use an app that writes data into the Health app.

iPhone 5S and later will record steps so there should be something in there without any other app.

If you use MyFItnessPal or other apps for tracking calorie intake fat, fiber, sodium, carbs, protein, etc will have data to display.

In the Health app, tap Sources at bottom to see which apps you have that can read/write data to the Health app,

if you want to know yesterday's steps all you need to do is go to settings, date and time, change the date to yesterday, go back to health kit and VOILA !

i actually came to this forum to find a solution myself, and worked it out ahah so hope this helps !!

Or, you could get one of the many, many apps (I like Moves) that displays the data in different ways.
