Try using a hairdryer. Put it on full power and try to get it in any small holes or creases and other openings in the phone. Leave it in the sun for 4 hours after this.

DO NOT use a hair dryer. It can force water deeper into the phone, exacerbating the damage.

Turn the phone off. Put the phone into a container of uncooked rice for 4-5 days. Once it is as dry as it's going to get, plug it in, charge it, turn it on and assess the damage.

Forty-eight hours is not really enough time to let it dry properly. Turning it own might have done more damage. It should be noted that, even if you leave the phone in rice for a week, there's no guarantee that it will ever work properly again. At this point, your best bet is to go back and get the out-of-warranty replacement.
