I'm a new mac user and I'm quite unfamiliar with everything still.

I was wondering how you can get the URL of an image. On a pc you just had to right click and go to properties, but I don't know how to do it on a mac.

Mac OS X, Mac OS X (10.0.x)

If you are trying to save the image, just ctrl click the image and choose your options from the drop down menu.... Hope this helps....

One way is to bring up the contextual menu (Control Click or whatever method you use) and select Copy Image Address. You can paste that wherever.

    Hello Astronautical,

Welcome to Apple discussions & to mac!

The way I do it is by using OnyX a freeware cleaning & maintenance tool.
In the the "Parameters" Tab in the "Safari" tab>" Misc. Options", check "Show the URL of links in the ToolTips", then you simply hold your curser over any image & or link, once it has been applied. You Quit all other Applications when running any Utility.

Some of the necessary cleaning andClearing caches with OnyX

This topic post on the best way to do Apple updates a. Brody now that 10.4.6 is out lets review.. Thought I would include these 2 links since you are new to Mac; )

On Onyx please make sure to download the correct version for your os, which bring me to this, please Look under the Blue Apple" "About this Mac", see your version include that in your specs, more "More info..." [ green line on end of post ]

Go to "My Settings here In AD include the info then click save settings.

Let us know if this is helpful or you have any questions.

    Hi again Astronautical,

For the version os you have showing here, in your last post to me, 10.4.7, it looks that you ought to download the following version

"Download OnyX 1.7.4 for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Requirements: OnyX 1.7.4 is an Universal Binary application and works with all Macintosh PowerPC and Intel computers running Mac OS X version 10.4.x (Tiger)."

Hope that helps on the version . Keep us posted.
