Why couldn't iPhone 5s have Apple Pay within apps
TThe iPhone 5s has fingerprint sensor so why can't it have Apple Pay within apps capability?

It doesn't have the NFC chip (or the security chip).

TThanks. I didn't think it needed NFC for in app payments. Finger print should be pretty good security. Maybe doesn't have security encryption to send info.
It does not have the Secure Element. This is where cards are encrypted in hardware with keys known only to the banks.
