Apr 17, 2015 3:58 PM in response to TheTreeFrogby killhippie,The same here, the pop has gone, and it did it in a warm centrally heated house, not just the cold. I am now happy with my iPad Air 2 and am glad I dd not change it as i had no other issues and a perfect screen. All is well.

So far so good here.
2 full charges and no problems. 2 more charges and I may be able to uncross my fingers.
I'm now starting to feel that I have the product as it was intended. I've never returned an Apple product and I didn't want to return this one.
More importantly, I now feel free to sell it on when the time comes which I would never have done in the condition that it was in.
Still no pops here as well.

Just an update. Still pop free, since iOS 8.3.

Apr 23, 2015 10:31 AM in response to 2012FitFanby Posh Bob,I don't want to tempt fate, but the 8.3 upgrade seems to have cured things. I was getting the snap, crackle and pop, combined with losing sound completely afterwards. A reboot brought the sound back each time that lasted until the next pop - usually only minutes later. No keyboard clicks (although not a huge issue for me) and a ruined iPad experience all round. Took it back to John Lewis who sent it away and came back with a no fault detected report.
Absolute ******** of course. Anyway, despite no mention of it in Apple's upgrade notes, 8.3 seems to have fixed it - I just wish Apple would have been more open and honest about it all the way through.

Apr 23, 2015 10:39 AM in response to Posh Bobby Tom O'Drain,I was planning to bring my iPad Air 2 to Apple, but since updating to 8.3 I can't recreate the popping sound. I have alol sounds turned on as well (keyboard clicks) so maybe it is fixed. My fingers are crossed.

Apr 25, 2015 8:42 AM in response to Garth1988by pookerella,Has a single moderator or Apple employee chimed in here at all? Absolutely shameful.
Mine was week 46. I have both the "no audio" issue and the pops and zaps issue.

Nothing shameful at all. Apple employees and moderators do not post on these forums. This is a user to user (peer) forum.
You also seem to be the only person who has written in since iOS 8.3 was released stating you have issues. Did you upgrade to iOS 8.3? If you have not, you should. If you have an you are continuing to experience issues with your iPad, you should take it to Apple.

I would definitely follow rbrylawski's advice.
Many have reported 8.3 solved their popping issues, but your issue could be different. I never lost sound. I just had a pop in certain circumstances.

Just touching base to say that I have no problems here and I'm enjoying my iPad more than ever.
I'm glad that you are happy, psikofunkster. I've followed this thread from the start and you played a big part in it and maybe this thread was part of the reason that the problem has finally been resolved, so thanks.

Thanks man.
Me too i'm finally enjoying it. I don't use to play games but i downloaded Star Wars Rebels; Recon Mission just to experience the full power of the device, i've already finished it, pretty nice, 0 pops.
Yeah it has been told many times Apple doesn't read these forums but i disagree, they may not participate directly but these are their forums, minimum they are reading, they own them.
Now that this has been solved my next Apple purchase might be an iphone 6s.
BTW if someone of you download Mortal Combat X and start to listen some pop noises, that's not the device but the game which is still bugy, ha, ha.

Apr 25, 2015 7:13 PM in response to Garth1988by rwtamesis,Mine has popped from day 1. As others have said it seems to be when you switch between one activity and another, I have just grown to live with it...
That said, my machine has now locked me out permanently since upgrading to 8.3 and I cannot fix it. Dont want to alarm anyone that the popping has anything to do with that too, but something is not right here...
