Dec 12, 2014 9:46 PM in response to andrestbby armharish,I have purchased a brand new IPAD AIR 2 64 GB WIFI+Cellular on this thanksgiving @ bestbuy. I see an issue with the product - when I plug in charger though I beeive its charging but it displays a message that it is not charging.

Dec 12, 2014 9:53 PM in response to armharishby Tom70,As this doesn't relate to the popping noise problem you should probably start a new topic, but while I'm here:-
The iPad requires a 10W charger. Are you using the charger that came with the iPad? Does it have 10W printed on the label?

Either take it back to Apple for a replacement, or sell it if it makes you unhappy.

Dec 13, 2014 12:34 PM in response to psikofunksterby Doctor9fan,Out of curiosity does the popping sound only 'play' for those affected when touching the screen?
-
Dec 13, 2014 4:39 PM in response to Doctor9fanby Konbi,Doc,
- it happens randomly but mine did it a lot more as I touched the screen. I returned two sets each time Apple Genious Bar Techs stated it was a hardware issue. Some folks are saying Apple is denying the issue but if it is popping you should take it back (if you can). I have read several other sites as well stating the same issue. Some believe it is software others think it is a speaker issue and then some just believe it is a hardware issue Period.

Dec 13, 2014 5:03 PM in response to Konbiby Shockvalue1,I find it hard to tell where the sound is coming from. Not sure whether its through the speaker or from the body of the machine. It happens so quickly and randomly that you're not really focused when it happens. If it is from the electronics (like a capacitor discharge) then Apple need to look at it pronto. The longer it takes, the more speculation about the cause (for better or worse).
Doctorr9fan: It does appear to require a screen touching action by the user to produce it (opening an app, clicking search bar etc)

Dec 13, 2014 5:54 PM in response to Shockvalue1by Mr. Fazookus,Roughly 1.3 million messages ago I believe it was determined that it was through the speakers. I've actually felt it it was so loud and I believe people have heard it through headphones.
I could be wrong though I've tried to keep current here.

Dec 13, 2014 9:31 PM in response to rbrylawskiby psikofunkster,Wow and you are here for helping others right...sigh do you want a thanks too? Greedy.....
As a i already stated Apple Mexico dont replace "issues" like this, when you take it to the apple mexican brainers they return you the device saying it has absolutely nothing.
About selling it i have a thing called integrity and id never sell to another person a faulty product like this but if you insist ii can sell it to you + gonna make you happy.

Dec 13, 2014 9:30 PM in response to Doctor9fanby psikofunkster,Id say yes. Im not an apple engineer but i dont feel the sound comes from the speakers id say it comes from the back of the device, the battery or even worst the screen.
whe im using headphones i havent hear it through them but can feel it with my hands,

Dec 14, 2014 1:20 AM in response to Garth1988by danielfromport elizabeth,I am having the same issue with my 128GB WiFi model purchased in South Africa. It is very random and does not happen every day. Sometimes it can go almost a week without popping.
For me the popping only happens when I click on a link or the back button in the Tweetbot iPad app. I've never had it anywhere else.

Dec 14, 2014 5:29 AM in response to Konbiby Doctor9fan,I assume that it isn't a setting for touchscreen or keyboard clicks so yes it does sound like a hardware/software issue.
I Hope there's a solution for all affected.

The advice I offered, is the ONLY advice anyone here can offer. You didn't ask a question. You basically said, it keeps happening and you're unhappy you bought your iPad. There's no setting anyone can tell you to change. And since none of us can resolve this for you, your only options are as follows:
1. If it's hardware, return it for exchange or sell it. If the store won't help you, call Apple Customer Support and elevate your issue.
2. If it's software, wait for Apple to release an update which will hopefully help you.
Otherwise, you can complain if it makes you feel better, but no one here can fix this issue for you or for themselves for that matter.
And no it wouldn't make me happy to purchase your iPad. Mine has no popping sound issues. And I am sorry the one you have does and that it makes you unhappy.
