A:

It's not designed for that. It's for physical retail purchases where you go somewhere and buy things and can wave your iPhone over a terminal.

The iTunes Store uses a saved credit card or other payment method, as does Apple Pay for that matter.

Thanks, I appreciate your response, but it's still a bummer NOT to use Apply Pay - make perfect sense to do so, IMHO.

You can already have a stored credit card in iTunes, and you can already authorize purchases with TouchID. The Apple Pay feature allows other non-Apple apps to offer this feature.
