Question

mail not sync between mac and iPad/iphone

my mail is not sync between my macbook and my iPad/iphone the emails are same on iPad and iPhone however when i open my email program on the mac many emails are not there. any ideas

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10)
