Completely new to iMac & its software, is their something i can download or buy that stops all these annoying ads / pop ups i continue to get whilst visiting web pages ? Obviously i/m only looking at safe things to download..

Open Safari - Preferences - Extensions - Add Extensions and then add AdBlock.
Post back with results after testing.
Pop Ups - How do i get rid off them ?
