Oct 27, 2014 7:31 AM in response to jtc63701by Skydiver119,If you have a computer hook it up to your computer and use iTunes to install the update. When you do it that way the update expands on your computer, not your device, and you need far less room.

Oct 27, 2014 7:37 AM in response to jtc63701by Star Traveler,Always do your backups before an install, and then just delete your largest apps, some that don't have any of your own data on them, and open up the room. Start with the largest apps first and work down. You can easily re-install them later. You might also delete some large podcasts, that you know you can re-stall later, or a movie from iTunes that you may have on your iPad. I got my space from my largest apps and some podcasts.
