Q: How to pair new Magic mouse w desktop? Old mouse is dead.

How do I access preferences on the screen to to the pairing without an old functional mouse? The remote keyboard works, but I don't know how to access preferences from it... Can one access preferences with the key board, without the original mouse?

Thank you so much Mr. Kafman... I turned off the computer by just holding down the power button and when it came back on it recognized the mouse. Thank heavens. I am SUCH a dinosaur.
