How do I get my new Magic Mouse to pair w my old 2007 iMac? I don't have the old Mouse; when I bought the new one at the Apple Store they said they'd throw the old one away. So I gave it to them. 😟

How do I access preferences on the screen to to the pairing without an old functional mouse? The remote keyboard works, but I don't know how to access preferences from it... Can one access preferences with the key board, without the original mouse?

Do you have Bluetooth turned on, look for the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right of the display. If you don't' then you will need to borrow a wired mouse if you cannot navigate enough with your keyboard.
Thank you so much Mr. Kafman... I turned off the computer by just holding down the power button and when it came back on it recognized the mouse. Thank heavens. I am SUCH a dinosaur. 🙂
