iPhone 6 touch screen issues

I've recently noticed some major issues with my touch screen on my iPhone 6. It started on Saturday afternoon ... I was on facebook and it started randomly going to different pages w/o me even clicking on anything on the screen. I also noticed as I was trying to type messages that the letters I was trying to hit were not the ones displaying. I attributed it to my fat fingers and powering the phone off/on seemed to fix the issue.

Well today it has gotten progressively worse. My screen starts to shake/glitch .. then it'll start randomly opening up apps, typing text and opening other pages in the apps, all without me even touching the touch screen. I've also noticed what seem to be "dead spots" on the touch screen where it will not respond when I touch it. Has ANYONE else experienced anything like this? It sounds like I'll be due for a trip to the Apple store (again) unfortunately

Hi,

I have a slighter issue with touch sensitivity when using Contacts, Whatsapp, the problem is when I the "search bar" to find contacts.

When I tough my finger just on top or near the magnifier icon in the search bar nothing happens, I have to touch again to have the keyboard menu pop up.

This happens like 2-3 times out of ten, its annoying. I have OS 8.1 and done a reset phone but the problem is the still the same

Any ideas ?

Thank you

Pierre

Hello everyone,

My iphone 6 plus is in shambles... I've experience very similar wiggin out moments as you all, mostly all of them have to do with the touch response, like the iphone just starts texting up its own things it wants to say, or opening up apps and etc, without me touching the screen. If I try pressing things my screen flashes grey bars that seep in from the top of the screen, and my iphone has a seizer. Eventually it progressed to the point where my touch screen wont even respond to me any more, I literally cant do anything but open it with my fingerprint id. I've reset the phone, and have done everything I can to try to make it work. I'm taking it back to At&t and btw this will be my second time returning a defective iphone 6 plus within a couple months of buying a brand new one, I'm very annoyed and very disappointed in Apples hardware. I hope this doesn't happen on the NEXT one I receive..... and I hope everyone here can actually get a phone that they can count on, good luck.

I have had the exact same problem. I had sent in my iPhone 6 Plus 2 times and now on my 3rd time. I have received a new phone, but the same problelms came about. I always start my phone as a new iPhone and that did not solve any issue. Today, my phone was ringing with a blank, black screen. I have been with apple since 2009. My 3GS and 4s never had these problems. The worst I have ever experienced with apple. COMPLETE FRUSTRATION

Yes I have it also. But worse. The scree has stopped responding, again (did it after 9.3.1) and between my bedroom and my family room,15 paces this am, the fingerprint scanner stopped working. I have to enter my passcode, but the screen only works about 15% of the time so i have to hit my numbers like 5 times before it saccutally accepts a number. Cant turn it off wither, screen not responding, so I can't slide to turn off Apple, this is nuts!!! People buy your stuff because it works. This is 110% software issues, you need to flush the bugs out BEFORE you release stuff. I am in the middle of a restore. Wonder if Samsung or Nexus has these issues?

My son's I6+ is experiencing this "Touch Disease" also. After 5 minutes of research, I found the answer:

Faulty Design!

This is a common issue and they know it. He's contacted Apple and the response seems to be standard: pay $300+ to fix or buy a new phone.

If this is the case, we're going to Android, and saying screw Apple's rotten core. May need to join the class action:

after 5 months iPhone 5, it slipped out of my hand, fell on one of its corners and 1/3th of the phone was broken (screen +frame) - i thought they made these things stronger.

now, after 6 months iPhone 6, I have the same problems as you describe and my iPhone has actually become unusable.

Rather than spending 7 months with an iPhone 7, I found a better solution: bought a Huawei for 200$

It seems it's all and only about the money now for Apple.

well, I'm gone ;-)
