The charger head - if that's waht you want to call it - would be the block that plugs into the wall socket? And if it did break off, were you able to completely remove it from the port? I know this seems obvious, but if there is a broken piece stuck in the port, of course you are not going to be able to charge the device because you won't be able to plug the cable in.

But it wasn't like stuck, it was just after this happened my iPad hasn't turned on or has been able to be charged with a different charger
