no more notification for shared calendars

I have a few shared calendars with members of my family (everybody using Macs running either Mountain Lion or Maveriks and/or iPhone/iPad running iOS 7)

We used to receive notifications when anyone added or modified an event on these shared calendars.

but since a few days, I've noticed that there is no more notifications sent when an event is added, suppressed or modified on shared calendars.

We have to open Calendar to see any modification!

How can we get these notifications back???

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2008), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

I have this same problem. I use iOS 8 on an iPhone 6 and I mostly use iCloud.com. When I upgraded to iPhone 6 / iOS 8 I didn't received shared calendar notifications anymore. Is this a bug, or is there a setting I am missing?

the issue is impacting many people and it's definitly a bug on Apple's side (as it occurs either on Macs whatever the OS X version, iPhone whatever the iOS version and even on www.icloud.com )

Don't hesitate to send a feedback to Apple on this page http://www.apple.com/feedback where you will select the Calendar application (no Apple developper never read these discussion, but they are supposed to read every feedback sent)

YEEESSSS!

it WORKS again!

Not only the notifications are back, but even on my old iMac running SnowLeopard (where the events of shared calendars were no more displayed) it works just fine again
