Problem reading files on WD external drives after upgrade to Yosemite?

After upgrading to Yosemite, has anyone had a problem reading files on WD external drives?
This was an issue after the Mavericks upgrade in the beginning of the year. A drive manager for Macs (3.1.0) had to be downloaded from the WD website.
