Yes. You can take your Mac to an Apple Store and they will download Yosemite for you.
You can make a Genius Bar reservation in advance > Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Before you head off to an Apple Store, make sure your Mac meets Yosemite's requirements Apple - OS X Yosemite - How to Upgrade
As with any upgrade, make sure to backup all your important data prior to upgrading.

I was hoping i wouldn't have to drag my MacPro all the way there, is there a possibility for them to put it on a USB stick
if I supply them with one.

No. They won't do this via a USB stick.

On high speed broadband connection it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to download and install from the App Store.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I thought the Apple Stores might have had copy of the OS X Yosemite.app which they could just
copy over to a USB, rather than having to download it time and time again.
So if they don't they don't, i just don't fancy dragging this big lump of metal across town
especially as it is wet cold grey Edinburgh.
I have a very slow mobile broadband connection at home, downloading here takes days rather than hours. yikes!
