Nov 3, 2014 4:17 AM in response to Holtz0501by Ton R,I have the same problem. It seemed to be solved after deleting to name of the iPhone (on the car) and renewing connections, but it worked only for 1 day.
Since then I have to pair the phone and the car every single day before it will work (and even not always). Its a grand problem I never had before (iphone 5 and all older iOS versions).

Feb 24, 2015 2:38 PM in response to Holtz0501by beej7,I have the same problem but with the iPhone 5! Mine worked perfectly with the ios7 system, but as soon as I updated to iso8...everything regarding being able to make outgoing calls went to the rubbish heap! Apple engineers have supposedly been working on this issue since before November 2014, and still after 3 updates by these engineers, there is still NO FIX!
It appears to affect iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S...in fact ANY iPhone using anything after IOS7 . ALL the IOS8 versions have been a complete STUFF UP as far as the functionality of the blue tooth facility of the phone goes.
The list of cars affected by this problem includes BMW, Audi, Acura, MINI, GM(Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, Buick), Honda, Kia, Toyota, Volkswagon, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Lexus, Fiat, Hyundai, and many more. It seems there are not too many vehicles where this isn't an issue!
Apple engineers, if you do care about your customers...please do something about this issue, as it is affecting so many users!
