Q: phone keeps crashing - wont stay on

My daughters iphone 5 won't stay on - it keeps shutting down. We bought a new battery a few months ago which seemed to fix it whilst it was an intermittant problem, but now it is a constant - might get 5 mins occassional sporadic use and then it shuts down again.

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1
