It's funny. I've been in the Networking space for a long time and didn't know about the Bock-Bock/Cisco connection.

Re-enabled Mail and Calendar for my corporate Exchange account on my Mac running 10.10.5.
After a couple days of no problems, just exhibited same problem again for a meeting when I hit the "snooze" button on the reminder.
Back to Outlook...

I'm on El Capitan for now but I think that it could be fixed in the same way for older versions.
I've fixed this with two steps:
1. Go to Settings → Internet Accounts → Exchange and turn off Reminders checkbox
2. Go to Mail.app — Preferences → General and set «Add invitations to Calendar» to «Never»
