Winclone - Permission issue

I replaced the superdrive in my laptop with the original harddrive and put in a SSD. Setup Boot Camp with a partition from both drives.

Windows is running on the SSD partition.

Just went to image the Boot Camp SSD partition to an external drive and had no issue.

Went to do the same with the regular drive and I get the message that I don't have permission to save the backup to the external drive.

Not sure what other information to post but appreciate any help!

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10), Windows 8.1 (Boot Camp)

Ok well after typing all that... did Get Info on the external drive and for some reason was read only... even though I had backed up some files manually, ran Time Machine and WinCloned another Boot Camp partition. Only thing I can guess is Time Machine did something. Anyway, changed to Read/Write and all was good. Still weird though and will see if it happens again.
