Choosing an iPod for Snowboarding

Hey all,

I'm about to buy my first iPod, though judging by some of these discussions I'm wondering whether it will be a waste of money.

If I do decide to buy I'd like to know which iPod you guys think would be the best one to go with. i.e. the one I can crash with in my pocket when snowbaording this season in Austria and not break it. Go smaller with the nano or sturdy-er with the video?

Would love to know what you guys think.

hm.. it really depends on how much music you got. if you only got a few songs then a video would be a waste. and if you're not going to use video feature that it would be a waste too. I'd probably get a shuffle if i were snowboarding. i think nano's and video's are more complicated internally and might break quick with all the jumping. But if it's between the nano and the video i'd still get the video. fairly cheap since the price drop. more features to use when you're not snowboarding eg. games, videos. I think you might need to get in-ear headphones if you're going to snowboard and listen though.. unless the standard ones fit your ear.

hope that helped n_n
