How can I check what region my Macbook pro has been set at?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

It will have been set for the region in which it was purchased.

Once you have set the region in DVD Player five times it cannot be changed. However see tis also:


http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25416?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US


Instead, use VLC to view videos from different regions:


http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

This is not a new mac (2010) I have gone passed the 5 times limit on region change (thanks to my kids). I just wanted to know what is the last setting. This all started when I inserted a dvd (region 2) and this message came up "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer". I am trying to work ou what the issue is. It plays cds and data discs.
