Q: When importing color changed photos (on ipod touch) to iphoto on iMac (Yosemite), all changes disappear.

Hi,

when I try to import photos from my iPod touch to iPhoto, all changes I made on the iPod touch (filters, color changes, resizing) disappear.

Is this a settings problem? It would be very nice if you can help me.

Greetings

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

that is the way it currently works - iPhoto only imports the original photo form the camera roll

If you are using iOS 8 on your mobile devices, it will stay this way.  It is a feature, not a bug:

See this link: iPhoto and Aperture don't have edits to photos you import from iOS 8 devices

You can transfer your edited photos by mailing them:

As an alternative, you can share images you've edited from Photos via email. Once you tap Send to send the email, you'll be asked what size you'd like to send the photos as. Be sure to choose Actual Size in order to retain the full size image.

Or, if you have enabled iCloud Library Beta on your mobile device,  you can download the edited versions from your http://www.icloud.com    webpage. Use the Photos.app on that page.

Thank you very much for your help.

Although I won't consider it a feature if I have to manually have to mail all the pictures I changed (which are most of them)
when the purpose of the mobile device / Mac connection is a uncomplicated and fast data exchange.

    Again, thank you very much.
