app don't appear in settings notification

I often delete and reinstall from app store some apps.

Since I used iOS 8 I can't see and set these apps in settings - notification.

The app says "if you want receive notification enable them on settings" but when I try to find this app in the list under the Notification menu I can't find it. Totally disappeared, so I can't change the settings to receive notification with sounds and in notification center.

I tried to delete ad download the app again.

I tried hard reset of iphone.

I tried to logout from app store.

I tried to reinstall app with itunes.

Nothing, this app (and other 2 apps) don't appear under the notification settings.

Some suggest? thanks.

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1

Here are a few things to try.

In ios 8 you can also control App settings by going to Settings and scroll all the way to bottom, choose the App you want to make changes to and make changes.

Make sure you don't have any restrictions set to keep you from making changes. Settings/General/Restrictions

3rd an App will ask you to accept Notifications on either the First install or after the App has been deleted from the device for 24hrs.

To get this pop up you have 2 options

A) Delete the App and wait 24hrs before you reinstall

B) Delete the App

Power off the device then turn back on

Go to Settings/General/Date and Time turn Set Automatically OFF then manually set date forward at least 1 day

Power off the device then turn back on

Reinstall the App and when you get pop up about Allow Notifications select Yes

Now just go back to Settings/General/Date and Time and turn Set Automatically back on

Hi there,

I'm having a similar problem with my Google Maps app. The app does not appear in my notification settings. When I go into my settings app and scroll down to find Google Maps, the app is there, but when I tap on it, there is no option for notifications within the app's settings.

Here are the things I've tried:

- Uninstalled and reinstalled Google Maps

- Reset all my phone's settings

- The trick you suggested above. I also uninstalled the app and physically waited 24 hours to reinstall. Didn't work.

- Factory reset of my phone

- Updated iOS

- Updated Google Maps

None of these attempts made the app appear in my notifications settings, and none of these attempts triggered the app to ask permission for push notifications. I know that there are supposed to be notifications, because my boyfriend's phone has notifications enabled for Google Maps. I'm not sure when this bug first appeared, because I never needed the Google Maps notifications until a couple months ago when I bought a Pebble watch. However, I have seen a few people complaining of the same issue since iOS 8.

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with Google Maps on my iphone 6 plus with 8.1.3. My wife has the regular iphone 6 and it shows in notification settings for her.

Not sure what the issue is with iphone 6 plus, but would like to figure it out. I have a Pebble too and would like to get it to work with that.

Google Maps does not use Push, it's all location based. This may be new I'm not sure but I looked into version 4.2.0 (current version) and it does not use APN.

I'm having the same issues with a couple of my apps. I've tried everything and I can't get them to appear in the notification setting to turn the notifications on. The notification options aren't affecting all my Apple devices. My iPad air 2 the notification settings work just fine. My iPhone 4s no issues. My iPhone 5s and now iphone 6+ have the issues. I hope there's a fix soon!

As apb0703 and I mentioned, Google Maps DOES appear in other people's notification settings (i.e. my boyfriend's and apb0703's wife's). Push notifications are also enabled on my iPad.

This is clearly a bug. At first I thought it was an issue with the Google Maps app, but now that I see other people are having the same problem with other apps, it appears to be an iOS problem.

I am having the same issue with the CNN app. Works fine on my iPhone 6 Plus, but not on my wife's iPhone 6 plus. Tried all sorts of things such as deleting and reinstalling the app and restarting the device, etc. Nothing works. The app just does not appear in the Notifications section of Settings no matter what I try. When I open the app it asks about location based permission, but not push notifications. Very frustrating. Is this a new bug?

Same issue here. I still have my 5s and its there, but not on my 6 plus. The annoying thing is I have to keep the phone display on to use the map, otherwise if screen is off, or if using other app, no notification of directions, turns, traffic etc come up, so if I don;'t know where I am going I have to keep only the google map on and nothing else.

The apple map ***** and often tries to take me to places not even close to where I should be which is why i had come to love the google maps app, but now with this issue, it's as worthless as the apple maps.

Is this an update by apple to force people to try to use theirs? or a google update? I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling, hard reset, adding thru itunes, installing OTA and Wi Fi, Changing Date and time to reinstall, and nothing has worked.
