will the find my iphone app work if i sign out of icloud?

Hi Krisang. I purchased an iPhone off eBay but the issue here is that it has the find my iPhone on but it's iCloud unlocked. I don't know if there will be any problem when it gets here

You need to log into iCloud with your Apple ID under Settings->iCloud to Turn on Find my iPhone for each iPhone.

With that done, you can use the App on each iPhone to find the other. You do not need to go to iCloud.com. But you do need to log into the App with the Apple ID you used to log into iCloud in settings.

You cannot use the App without turning on Find My iPhone in Settings on each iPhone, and you cannot do that without logging into iCloud.

The App will let you find devices associated with an Apple Id by signing into said ID. If you are not signed to an ID on the App then it will have no devices it can search for.

If you are referring to the iCloud feature for tracking your device, then the App is not involved. You need to turn on Find my iPhone in Settings-:iCloud and to do that, you need to be signed in to iCloud there too.

This is not possible. If find my iPhone is on, it cannot be icloud unlocked. you cannot have Find my iPhone turned on, if an Apple ID is not signed into iCloud on the device. and having an Apple ID signed on in iCloud settings means the device is locked to that account.

As such, I'd be very wary of the purchase, and get ready to file a claim with ebay, as it will likely be unusable.

If I log out of my Apple ID on my Iphone, will I still be able use 'Find My iPhone' on it.?
