    Hi david j fromfair haven,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

The family organizer (the person who sets up the Family Sharing account) must choose one card from their account where purchases can be billed. It is possible to have multiple credit or debit cards on file, though.

Valid payment methods for setting up Family Sharing include credit cards and debit cards. You can change the billing method on file in your account at any time in your iTunes & App Store account settings.

Additionally, family members can use their own iTunes gift card balance for purchases, in addition to the organizer's payment method.

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you. Learn more about how iTunes Store purchases are billed.

    Hello Jeremy

Further to the above question and answers, would you be kind enough to explain how two adults can use family sharing but use separate credit cards and/or separate gift vouchers. Is there a special setting to use during the set up process?

    Many thanks

    Brian

    Brian,

There is no special setting.  Family Sharing works exactly as Jeremy describes above.
