Perhaps something here will help you: iOS: If you can't back up or restore from a backup in iTunes

Usually this error means that there is an error in the backup that is causing it to be rejected by the phone's restore processes. My company has a program that repairs the errors in backups like this so that they will restore in iTunes. You can check it out here:
