Error message when restoring my 4th generation iPod touch

I own a 4th generation iPod touch. Eventually the device it self became slow. So there fore I tried to restore it. But unfortunately, the process failed. I tried this method several times and It gives an error message every time when start the process. The device is now in recovery mode. The iTunes version I have is 10.0.1.26. The device contain the latest version of iOS 6 update.

The following is the error message:

[ "The iPod "iPod can not restored at this time because the iPod

software update server could not be contacted or is temporareily

unavailable.

Please try again later." ].

Update Server

Try:

- Powering off and then back on your router.

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server

- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

Public DNS — Google Developers

OpenDNS IP Addresses

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem

- Try on another computer/network

- Wait if it is an Apple problem
