I am not able to install the latest version of adobe shockwave player on my MacBook Air. I recently upgraded my computer to OS X Yosemite. When I try to install the player I get a message saying "adobe is not supported by OS". Are there any options for installing the player?

I also have this problem and absolutely need Shockwave to complete a course online. Is there a fix for that?
The Adobe support forums have some suggested ways around the installer issues. I haven't tried them, so I can't say if they work, but check the Adobe forums.
I have looked on there and tried multiple of the "ways around the installer issues". None of them seem to work and one of them ended up crashing my laptop, so I don't recommend.
Seems like they have updated shockwave player now. I tried to download it again and it is working! 🙂

First you can do an update on Yosemite (if available). Then, I went back to the Adobe website http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/, downloaded the shockwave player again and re-installed it on my mac and it worked.
