Oct 30, 2014 12:36 AM in response to bobseufertby vleblanc,The photos were numbered "1 of 20" at the top of each photo on your iPad. For some crazy reason they took it off. Is there a way to get the old version IOS 7 back?

Oct 30, 2014 12:45 AM in response to vleblancby bobseufert,Can you post a screenshot from one of the unupdated iPads ? Was it at the top of the screen when you opened a photo to full screen ? Thank you.

Oct 30, 2014 1:07 AM in response to vleblancby bobseufert,Just my luck I can't see your screenshot so I dug out an old User Guide, sorry to put you through the trouble. Now that my memories refreshed I remember the numbers. There is no downgrading so that's out of the question. I noticed the numbers are replaced with the location, date, and time. That actually sounds a whole lot more usful, can you use them instead ?

Oct 30, 2014 1:17 AM in response to bobseufertby vleblanc,I am selling photos at a sports event. There are a lot of photos and the buyer will select a photo on the iPad but how are they to tell me which one? I would have to get my laptop out and compare the selected photo to what I have on my laptop screen to get the number. Some of the photos have the same time so that will not work.

Oct 30, 2014 1:21 AM in response to bobseufertby vleblanc,I found a site that gives instructions on downgrading from IOS 8 to IOS 7.1.2 by downloading the IPSW firmware file. Do you see any problem with that??

Oct 30, 2014 1:30 AM in response to vleblancby bobseufert,Yes, it won't work. Some people were able to downgrade right when IOS 8 came out. Other people tried and turned their iPads into bricks. The people that reported success also reported a lot of data missing. If the date and time are no good check photo apps for something with numbers.

Oct 30, 2014 12:54 PM in response to vleblancby chirag_bhagat,Because of the photo numbers getting vanished (courtsey Apple's stupid iOS 8 update) I'm facing a lot of problems. I am designer and use to take the photo numbers as reference for my designs. Since the update I'm not able to manage anything with my work as all my previous references have vanished. Please help me retreive the photo numbers

Oct 30, 2014 2:12 PM in response to chirag_bhagatby vleblanc,I have been on the phone with Apple and 2 different specialist trying to figure out a workaround. Nothing!! They did say to send message to Apple to put it back. If several people send in the requests, they will put it back. Thank God I still have 2 iPads with old IOS!
