"Connect to server" ftp problem with username?

Hello,

I've got a ftp server on the web and I'd like to user the "connect to server" feature to have my files presented in my finder windows.

The problem is that it seems that my username is incompatible with that feature (my users on my ftp server are user@mydomain.com).

Is it possible to user this feature with ftp userrnames containing the "@" character? This problem appears on Mountain Lion and also on Mavericks.
