Q: My iphone 6 with ios8.1 is always transmitting personal hotspot even if turned off.  How do i stop the leakage?

My IPhone personal hotspot is always transmitting even when turned off.  How can I stop the leakage?  When my phone is next to my ipad (which has my phone as a wifi) and the phone rings it rings on both devices and any bluetooth connected device (all three ring).  Is this a handoff issue (it's turned on).  If so that's a bad bug.

Thanks!

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1

This has nothing to do with personal hotspot.

You simply have the devices setup so that any calls ring on them all.

Go into settings on the iPhone, then go into FaceTime and there is an option called 'iPhone Mobile Calls', turn it off.

You can also do the same on your iPad.

Thanks for the quick reply Ian!  Got my first call and that fixed it!  Didn't know about that auto setup when updating to 8.1 (assume that since this didn't happen before).
