Converting MXF files to usable files on Avid

I may not use the correct verbiage on this so bear with me. I am sharing some video clips I shot with a Sony PXW-Z100 to another production company. The files are in the MXF format. My FCP can recognize them (and I can see them) by the Sony plug-in.

Problem is this company uses Avid so none of my files are readable. They have tried Sony plugins and updates but to no avail (I'm going on what they told me, no other specifics).

Here is what I sent them: I took the converted MOV files from FCP from the Original Media folder. This company said the MXF files are wrapped in MOV. They asked if I could convert the original MXF files into ProRes files for their program. Unfortunately neither one of us understand how to do that.

Does anyone have a solution, whether converting to ProRes or something different all together?

Many Thanks

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

What caused the problems? As we know, XDCAM HD422 products record and play back high definition video with 1920 x 1080 and 1280 x 720 resolutions using MPEG HD422 compression and the XDCAM HD422 video footage is wrapped in an MXF container, which is can not natively imported by many professional video editing application including the Avid Media Composer. So, it will be a bit hard when importing XDCAM HD422 MXF video footage with Avid MC. While, things can be different if you get some help from third-party software MXF Converter for Mac. It also can help you to improt .mxf to fcp.

Your problem seemed already been solved, but I still want to post my idea of how to solve this kinda problem. First , I went to Sony official website and download the Sony MXF plug-in, I was hoping this proxy would solve my unreadable MXF problem, but it didn't do the trick. Then I turn to some free third-party software, and though it converted , but the output quality was too poor to see. I searched the Apple store , and found a good tool to use. its called IMixMXF I think , not very much clear, but someone who had the same problem, could download it and have a try.
