Oct 30, 2014 9:16 AM in response to karen238by Star Traveler,There aren't any mechanisms to actually block it, but rather there are filters to shunt it off into a spam folder. If you mark them as spam, usually the mail system you're using (like Yahoo or Google or Apple, etc) will learn that and from then on just send it to the spam box.

Oct 30, 2014 9:21 AM in response to Star Travelerby Star Traveler,If it's an individual sending it and doing so "personally" (and NOT spam) you can reply to the individual with a "cc" to the mail provider to cease all communications with you. If they violate that, then you can ask the mail provider to take action against the individual, which usually means canceling his mail account. Again, this method is not to be used for spam; they've got spam mechanisms for that.
