Q: iCloud Drive and Public Access

Howdy,

Is iCloud Drive only for internal use between iOS8/Yosemite devices or am I able to set up a Folder where I can give public access (read only) via a URL?

Good Luck,

iCloud Drive is for syncing your documents between devices. There is no public folder, see this link:  iCloud Drive FAQ

If you want to provide the link to a document, try Mail Drop, see:

    https://www.apple.com/osx/better-apps/

Send large attachments using Mail Drop

You can use Mail Drop to send large attachments (such as videos, presentations, or a folder of photos). Mail Drop automatically uploads the attachments to iCloud. If recipients use Mail in OS X Yosemite, the attachments are automatically downloaded and shown in the message. If recipients use other email apps, they see a link to download the attachments from iCloud.

    Howdy,

Too bad... I was hoping to move much of my DropBox stuff over but that includes a folder full of public files as well as a `web site' for accessing them. Don't see how I could use Mail Drop to do that sort of thing either.

    Good Luck,
