itunes don´t show my apple tv

When I try to connect my Apple TV to iTunes, it will not show me?
Used an Apple TV 3rd generation & iTunes 12

Are you trying to restore your Apple TV?
If so, make sure you are following the steps exactly (disconnect all cables, connect micro usb, then power)

Make sure to connect directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different cable.
