Q: iWeb 3.0 slideshow control buttons are not loading

I spoke too soon because I haven't been able to get this to work. I was able to patch the iWeb copy, and I am fairly certain I did this correctly. I got the location of the files using the copy path feature of Fetch.

I was hoping you might have a clue. One thing that is perplexing is that you said...

For existing iWeb sites with popup slideshows you don’t need to republish the site with the modified application but can achieve the same results by locating the same iWPopUpSlideshow.js file in the Scripts folder of the published site and replace it with a copy of the edited file you added to the iWeb application..

Using the find feature of Fetch, I tried to find the file "iWPopUpSlideshow.js" on my site, but it isn't showing up anywhere. I have quite a few slideshows, and they do function correctly, but the button art is not showing up. The controls are functioning properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me nuts.

I still don't get that.

What if you created a page called "slideshow" in iWeb, isn't that a problem? Which, BTW, I had done, which was adding to the confusion.

FYI, I pasted into iWed the "should be" hacks you suggested. Namely,

I opened the hacked iWeb, and imade a slight change to the site, published, and it didn't appear to change anything with the slideshows.

Do I have to do something else? Like restarting? What about that other thing...

Should I be able to find the file called "iWPopUpSlideshow.js" on my site anywhere or not. OT said I could replace it to update the old existing slideshows that are broken. I sure don't want to have to redo them.
