How do I get rid of texting autofill?

How do I get rid of the what I would call 'autofill' on texts. Right above the letters and below the 'iMessage" Ive never had this until a few hours ago.

Go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Predictive Text>OFF

You can also turn it off by holding down on that emoji smiley face and the Predictive Text toggle should be there as well.

Thanks! must have accidentally held down the emoji too long and not realized anything.

You're welcome. You can turn it off and on any time. Even after turning it on you can hide it temporarily if you want by sliding it down with your finger, and then it will just show a small line under the typing area. If you want to bring it back up, then put your finger on that line, and swipe upwards. Takes a little practice, but it will work.
