Replacing cell fill colors
Is there a way to batch replace any fill color (say sky blue, for instance) with a different color, across multiple tables.

select the cells you want to change then open the cell formatter and change the background color.
TThat's what I do now. But with 10 different tables on 10 sheets, with fill colors scattered all over, it's a 10 minute job. Excel has an advanced find, that lets you find things like that, and then replace... I was hoping there was a way to do it quicker.
Find a way to use conditional formatting so they fill color adjusts automatically? Why are you shading the cells? Is it the value of the cell?
NNo, it just has different headings, and subheadings that I've colored to give it a 'theme'. I figured it'd be easy to change the over all color theme, then...
Have you tried applying different table styles?

Thanks, I didn't know about table styles. I've used text styles, and that works to change the color of the text. I tried table styles, but it didn't seem to retain the fill colors of certain cell. I can see why, there is nothing denoting the cell as different, other than the text within it is a different style. It doesn't seem like I can add a conditional fill of "if the style is Style1, then fill the cell with such and such a color"
It's no big deal, I just thought fill color would be included in the text style. I've included a couple snapshots of my tables (there are a dozen or so different tables. I don't change the theme of them too often, so it's not big deal to change all the fill colors by hand.
I think a Table Style can only specify distinct styles for header cells, footer cells and body cells. As you say, it can't specify that some body cells are different from others (except alternate row colors).
It would appear that your designs would not lend themselves to making all the colored cells, for example, into header cells.
I haven't tried this, and it might be more trouble than it is worth, but if you want to change these colors on a regular basis (every time you change the menu), there might be a work-around: Set the fill of the white cells to a white color fill and set the fill of the colored cells to none. Place a rectangular shape (no stroke, fill color whatever you want) behind the table (so it shows through the "colored" cells. Then you just have to change the color of one rectangle instead of a dozen cells.
One more note: If you are using Numbers '09, you don't have to make a separate rectangle; you can select the whole table and then use the Graphic tab of the Inspector to apply a Table Fill which will be behind the Cell Fill. As far as I can tell, Numbers 5 does not have Table Fills.
