Q: Mac keyboard will not pair to Mac mini, can not login

Ok, so my wife turned off Bluetooth on our Mac mini ( still not sure why). Afterwards, the Mac keyboard would no longer work, obviously. She then restarted the computer and we can no longer login because our keyboard will not pair. I have a USB mouse but not keyboard. Is there a way to turn on Bluetooth and/ or pair the keyboard without logging in?

OS X: Bluetooth devices become unresponsive
Does the light on the KB light up?
Do you have access to a USB KB? A PC KB is fine.

Always best to have a wired USB keyboard as a backup because this can happen at any time. With the wired keyboard you can log in then go to the bluetooth pane and pair from there. A wired keyboard only costs ~ $10.00
