Printing one table per page.

In Numbers 09 I could align each of 12 monthly tables in a sheet left, right or centre and one per A4 page. In Numbers 3.5 I cannot set each table to start on a new page. Anyone know how to do this? In ARRANGE, left works but top overlays all 12 tables on top of each other and all other options are not available (grey).

Hi Spyderman,

After you select all the tables, Format Panel > Arrange > Distribute > Vertically (or Evenly if that suits your purpose).

That will not place each table on a separate page (there is no Print View to show the page margins).

Numbers 3 has lost Print View. All we have is Menu > File > Print... to show a Print Setup (with limited editing ability).

You can print each table separately if you move each table to its own Sheet (Tab).

Try Alignment Guides and Rulers as suggested here:

Tried several things. Almost there. What I have been trying is to set the y-axis in Arrange to be close to an A4 page. Although table #12 shows a y co-ord of 724.12 cm, if I try to adjust it anything at all, it goes to 141.11 cm. Trying to change the y position of any table beyond 141.11 cm reverts to 141.11 cm.

Since I am about to set up my 2015 monthly budget / status, I may just do one month per sheet rather than 12 tables in one sheet.

Got a workaround. Although I cannot set the y-axis by putting a number in bigger that 141.11, I can drag the table until I get the co-ord I want. Then together with A4 paper dimensions (210x297), margins, print scale (38% in my case), rulers & arrange I can actually line up one table per page.

Still confused as to why Apple have a print view but no easy way to line table up to actually print nicely on a page.

That's what gets me. Apple seem to think the printer is obsolete and you only trade files via iPhones etc. Then why do they offer a print view that cannot move the tables around? I tried to stay with iWork 09 but I thought I'd bite the bullet and update. What gets me is that they moved the sheet name from the side to the top and the same time they move Safari from top to the side. Change for the sake of change. I moved from Windows to OS X many years ago because that was the silly sort of stuff Microsoft would do. Now Apple is doing it.
