how can I get my data out of my broken Macbook Pro?

My macbook pro was working weird for no reason at Friday, and it also cannot turn on at Saturday suddenly, I didn't have time to backup my laptop before it stop working. Is this a response of Apple to help me take my data out of my broken laptop? Even I am still covered by applecare, they told me I need pay for extra 99 dollars for backup my data to my external hard drive.

From the problems you describe, it sounds like your disk drive has completely died. If that is true there maybe very little chances that you will be able to recover anything.

If you want to try doing the recovery of data yourself, you will have to remove it from the MBP and install it into an external enclosure.

You can then connect it to another Mac to see what data is recoverable from it.

The other choice would be to sent the disk drive out to a recovery service. If you do that be prepared for their charges. It is usually around $$$$
