Grey Spot on The Top Right of The Screen

I have a 4th Generation Ipod Touch 32 gb that started with a small grey spot at the top right corner near the battery symbol . The spots begining to get bigger and spread so i'm not sure whats going on . Any suggestions on what it could be or how to fix it ?

The screen has to be replaced

If not covered by warranty

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following maybe less. Google for more.

Replace the screen yourself if you are up to it
